A mainly noisy show that begins with an annoying beep in a lonely train-carriage.

  • Ending: Saying ‘pop’ or ‘bob’ to a haphazard rhythm, and then groaning.

An exciting show about flicking cutlery is rudely interrupted by a rival radio station.

#11. The Self Help Show

Our hosts creates a “self-help tape” that will in time inspire him to talk more naturally with neighbors. A repetitive conversation about burgers and newspapers descends into hysterics.

  • Introduction: Feel free to switch off the radio for half an hour. The difficulty of talking to neighbors.

  • Self help tape including possible conversational scenarios (burgers, biscuits, women, newspapers).

  • The sound of pens and screws being shaken near the microphone; A discussion about the best kind of public toilets in which to scatter pens, nails or screws.

#10. Post-Funny abscess of light Dis-Entertainment

A collection of poertry, melodies and sobbing.

  • “Lumps of Grease” - A cheery FM Synthesised melody is subverted by slowing it down.
  • “Highly Amplified Wrists” - A George Fornby style banjo number about wrist-cutting, self-harm and possibly suicide.
